People blame their dry winter house on their city's climate, but the real driver is cold outdoor air plus heating. Using NOAA January normals, we estimated how low indoor humidity falls in 25 major US cities once that air is warmed to 68F, why the coldest hit about 10 percent, and how to fix it.
